Cotesa

With the expansion of the service operation and maintenance of generation and transmission assets, a new physical space was sued and Cotesa Engineering has a new headquarters in Florianópolis. The area has 2,839.60 m² and is installed in the technological center of the city, on the SC-401 highway. “We now have a wider and more functional space, with better technological characteristics that will facilitate the development of our work, synergies between the company's technical areas and more integration among employees”, explains Grupo Cotesa's president, João Junklaus.

The chosen location is to be in tune with the volume of new business developed in recent years. The company currently operates and maintains around 2.7 GW of Renewable Energy assets, 5,000 km of high and extra high voltage transmission lines and 63 basic network substations interconnected to the SIN.

With the change of headquarters, the Operations Center had expanded the physical space and facilities to operate and monitor hydroelectric, wind and solar power plants, in addition to SHPs, CGHs and Substations. Six new professionals were hired for the areas of programming, post-operation, standardization and Information Technology, in addition to enabling four new operating posts. The new area also attends to the new revision of the network procedures, allowing the installation of the professional CCTV system with embedded artificial intelligence technology.

Founded in 1997, Cotesa Engineering is a company focused on Operation & Maintenance of plants and small hydroelectric plants. “Our mission is to be a strategic partner of the Brazilian electricity sector and this change is the symbol of our evolution and that we are on the right path”, evaluates President João Junklaus.
