ONS details the SIN operation during the World Cup

The National Electric System Operator (ONS) has prepared a special operation plan for the National Interconnected System, with an additional degree of safety, for the World Cup period. 
  
The special operation will start two hours before the Brazilian games and will end two hours after the match. The special operation will also take place during the opening ceremony and during the closing ceremony of the event.
  
This type of operation is necessary due to the specifics of the behavior of the cargo during the World Cup, with a characteristic reduction in demand in the period before the start of the Brazilian team's matches and its growth, at high rates, in the intervals of these matches and, especially, immediately after the end of these matches.
