COTESA Engenharia takes part in a wind sector fair

COTESA Engenharia participated in the 12th Brazil Wind Power, which brings together the major players in the national and international wind sector and promotes discussions on the next steps of the energy transition, the prospects for a future Net Zero (carbon neutralization), new technologies such as green hydrogen storage and regulation of the offshore wind market.

Cotesa Engenharia receives data analysis company

Cotesa Engenharia received a visit from Bazefield's directors in Latin America to learn about the performance data analysis software for solar and wind generation assets.

The system provides tools for real-time monitoring, reporting, availability planning, breakdown and loss analysis, and fact-based decisions.

How technology collaborates in the O&M of electrical systems

Innovations contribute to the advancement of productivity, efficiency and safety in the Operation and Maintenance work, together with a significant cost reduction.

Technology 4.0 enables automation of industrial processes in the Operation; in Maintenance, the use of drones reduces inspection time, especially in hard-to-reach places.

Brazil enters the Top 15 worldwide for solar energy generation

País alcançou 10GW de potência operacional da fonte solar fotovoltaica, o que equivale a mais de 70% da potência da usina hidrelétrica de Itaipu, e subiu duas posições no Ranking.

Brazil is the only Latin American country in the top positions of the countries with the greatest solar generation capacity in large plants and in small and medium systems.

Hydropower will maintain generation dominance until 2030

The projection is that in 2030 hydroelectric generation will represent 58.0% of the total share of annual generation, increasing from 374.1 TWh in 2020 to 414.1 TWh in 2030.

In 2020, the segment responded with a 63.4% market share. The country's energy planning foresees the construction of ten more hydroelectric plants in Brazil by 2029.
