Corrective maintenance performed in Transmission Line

COTESA Engenharia carried out a programmed corrective maintenance service on two 525kV Transmission Lines. The service corrected anomalies detected during previously performed inspections.

The first Transmission Line interconnects the powerhouse to the substation, with a total length of 2.5 km divided into two stretches of double circuit and one of single circuit, with a total of six towers. The second Transmission Line interconnects two substations, in double circuit, with 9.3km of extension and 25 towers.

The maintenances mobilized a team of seven professionals, being one specialist, one supervisor, one inspector and four Transmission Line maintenance electricians. Two complete sets of dead line tools suitable for the activities, a set of keys, hand tools, and PPE's/EPC's pertinent to the activities were used.
Eighteen broken insulators were replaced, four grounding connections were retightened, one OPGW drop support was repaired, 31 towers and circuits were painted for identification, and seven barbed wire fences were grounded and sectioned.

The execution of the service was carried out in ten days and was successfully completed, obtaining results as expected.
