COTESA Engenharia takes part in a wind sector fair

COTESA Engenharia participated in the 12th Brazil Wind Power, which brings together the major players in the national and international wind sector and promotes discussions on the next steps of the energy transition, the prospects for a future Net Zero (carbon neutralization), new technologies such as green hydrogen storage and regulation of the offshore wind market.

COTESA Engenharia is responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of 3.83 GW of renewable energy assets and participates in industry trade fairs to remain up to date with the best O&M practices for providing services to our clients and partners. 

Considered the most competitive source in the Brazilian energy matrix, wind energy reached, in September 2022, the installed capacity of 25.5 GW, enough to supply 36.2 million Brazilian homes, on a monthly average. 

In the last decade, between 2011 and 2020, the wind sector has moved about $35.8 billion in public and private investments and the expectation is that the sector will reach the 39.4 GW mark of installed capacity by 2026. 

Responsible for 12% of all the generation injected into the National Interconnected System (SIN), wind energy has more than 827 wind farms in operation distributed in 12 Brazilian states.
