Installation and closing of jumpers in hotline 230 kV

COTESA Engenharia carried out the installation and closing of live line jumpers on the 230kV overhead busbar at a substation for interconnection of new assets to the SE main busbar. All procedures were prepared in advance, with the necessary studies carried out to ensure the safety and success of the activity.

Substation jumpers allow circuits to be configured quickly and safely by changing circuit topology without interrupting current flow, which increases system reliability.

The equipment establishes an electrical connection between the terminals of electrical equipment, such as switches, transformers, protection devices, etc.

They allow you to control and configure the flow of electric current in an electrical power network, helping to ensure system safety and efficiency. In addition, jumpers can also be used for testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.

COTESA Engenharia specializes in substation Operation & Maintenance and works with a specialized team to ensure the smooth operation of the assets in which it has a partnership, contributing to the smooth operation of the national electrical system.

Currently, the company performs O&M in 112 substations spread throughout Brazil.
